Rain or Shine, The Salvation Army Serves in Douglas, Georgia

Douglas, GA (October 6, 2024) – The Salvation Army continues to serve survivors in Douglas, GA and the surrounding communities. Currently, canteens are providing food service at ten locations in seven counties. While the weather forecast predicts rain for much of today, The Salvation Army will be out feeding, rain or shine. To date, the Douglas operation has provided nearly 50,000 meals and over 30,000 snacks to survivors of Hurricane Helene. The Salvation Army is committed to serving Douglas and the surrounding communities. Feeding will continue; however, locations are subject to change. In addition to food and hydration services, teams Emotional and Spiritual Care personnel are traveling from site to site, offering a listening ear or comforting shoulder for those in need.
