A Beacon of Hope in Keaton Beach, Florida

The Salvation Army’s Florida Disaster Team mobilized a Mobile Feeding Unit to Keaton Beach, Florida, offering warm meals and water to the residents working to recover from the devastation of Hurricane Helene. While most homes have been destroyed, many residents have stayed to clean up the remnants of their lives. Positioned alongside other aid agencies, the Mobile Feeding Unit not only provided nourishment but also served as a beacon of hope in a time of hardship. Residents could receive a warm meal, hydration, and access to critical supplies from other agencies-all working together to support the community’s recovery efforts.

The Mobile Feeding Unit also played a vital role today, providing warm meals and water to U.S. Army personnel and Sheriff’s Department Officers, who were out in full force during a visit from the President of the United States. Their presence ensured security and coordination, while The Salvation Army’s Mobile Feeding Unit’s support nourished the team, embodying the spirit of service and unity. In a moment of national importance, this collaboration demonstrated the power of community, as every act of care-whether serving meals or safeguarding the area- came together to contribute to a shared mission.
