SALVATION ARMY’S OMAHA DISASTER RESOURCE CENTER ADJUSTING ITS HOURS OF OPERATION TO MON-FRI ONLY—STARTING THIS WEEKEND
People Needing Flood-Relief Items This Weekend Encouraged to Visit Sarpy-Cass DRC & Council Bluffs DRC
After being open daily for nearly three consecutive weeks, the Salvation Army’s Omaha Disaster Resource Center (DRC) near 84th and Center is adjusting its operating days to Monday through Friday only—starting this weekend, April 6-7.
The Omaha DRC (again, near 84th and Center) will be open from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. this Friday, April 5; after that, it will be closed over the weekend. Then, on Monday, April 8, the Omaha DRC will reopen with the following hours: Monday through Friday noon – 5 p.m.
The two additional metro-area DRCs will be in operation the weekend of April 6-7, however. During that time, people in and around the metro area who are in need of flood-relief items are encouraged to go to the Sarpy-Cass DRC and the Council Bluffs DRC. The locations of those two DRCs—and their weekend operating hours—are as follows:
Sarpy-Cass DRC (in the old JC Penney store at the south end of Southroads, 1001 Fort Crook Road, Ste. 250, Bellevue)
Council Bluffs DRC (715 N. 16th St.)
For additional information on the Sarpy-Cass DRC and the Council Bluffs DRC, please see their respective news releases from earlier this week.
