The Salvation Army Serves Heritage House Residents in Greensboro

The Salvation Army of Greensboro is assisting some of the former residents of Heritage House condominiums with food, housing, and clothing. The organization’s Emergency Disaster Assistance mobile canteen is set up at the Regency Hotel, serving three meals a day for up to 14 days to the former residents who are now staying at the Regency Hotel.

The Salvation Army of Greensboro also placed ten families, who were living at the now condemned condominium complex, into other housing.  The Salvation Army Family Store provided clothing to an additional 70 displaced individuals, who are now staying at the Interactive Resource Center.

“The Salvation Army is happy to be able to serve our community in a time of need”, said Major Don Vick, Corps Officer for The Salvation Army of Greensboro.  "Our disaster team often is called out if town to serve.  This time the need is in our own backyard.”
