Columbia, SC (April 25, 2013) - The Salvation Army of the Midlands recently supported a
National Disaster Medical System (NDMS) exercise at Columbia Metropolitan Airport
by providing meals, snacks, and hydration to exercise participants. The Salvation Army

scenario was based on an explosives attack – bombing using improvised explosive
devices. The scenario included “pretend” patients being flown in on two airplanes and
their relocation to local NDMS hospitals.
