Chattanooga, TN - May 7, 2011 –The Salvation Army is continuing to “Do the Most Good” by providing for the immediate needs of those affected by the storm. This need may come in the form of nonperishable food boxes, toiletries, baby needs, limited support for lost medication, gasoline, and other necessities on a case by case basis depending upon the need.
These services are being provided today at the following locations:
Catoosa County, GA – The Salvation Army is serving at the Joint Disaster Recovery Center is located at 36 Muscogee Trail, Ringgold, GA, 30736.
Hamilton County, TN – The Salvation Army is serving at The Salvation Army Social Services Center located at 2140 East 28th Street, Chattanooga, TN 37407 and serving the Tiftonia community at John A. Patten School, 3202 Kelly’s Ferry Rd., Chattanooga, TN 37419

Walker County, GA – The Joint Disaster Recovery Center is at Walker County Agriculture Center, 10058 N. Highway 27, Rock Springs, GA, 30739.
Dade County, GA- The Joint Disaster Recovery Center is located at Board of Commissioners Room, 71 Case Avenue, Trenton, GA 30752
Bradley County, TN – Immediate needs can be met at the Peerless Road Church of God of Prophecy, 3301 Peerless Rd., Cleveland, TN 37312 The Salvation Army is working towards being set up at the DRC located at the Old Cleveland Bank and Trust Building, 10 Church Street NE, Cleveland TN.
Still serving from high waters with potential flooding on the way:
Dyer County, TN – The Salvation Army is distributing hygiene kits and food boxes at the county distribution center.
Henderson, KY – The Salvation Army has 3 separate locations where physical, emotional and spiritual services are being provided. The locations are in Henderson in the communities of Spottsville, Reed, Beals. The Salvation Army is continuing to serve more than 100 meals a day and have served over to fifteen hundred meals total since relief efforts began.
Paducah, KY – The Salvation Army is feeding from there Command Center and meeting some social service needs for those affected by flooding in McCracken, Livingston, and Ballard Counties.

Memphis, TN - The Salvation Army continues to watch the threat of rising waters in the area and is active in the local EOC. They now have 3 feeding locations: one at the EOC, one at the staging area the Riley Springs Mall, and the third at the Pyramid where volunteers are sandbagging along the Mississippi River. The Memphis Canteen, Jackson Canteen are currently serving these locations and the Johnson City Canteen is in route to assist.
