St. Louis, MO− The Salvation Army’s Emergency Disaster Response Team continues to assist those impacted by the severe weather and tornadoes that ripped through our region on Friday.
“Our teams have been in three of the hardest hit communities providing food and supplies since Saturday,” said Major Jim Curl, Incident Commander for The Salvation Army’s relief efforts. “We have been able to provide a hand up and relief to those in need.”
Currently, The Salvation Army is providing 1,400 meals a day in Maryland Heights, Moline Acres and Berkeley neighborhoods. Two canteens (mobile kitchens) are providing three meals a day to those cleaning up and responding to the storms.
