The Salvation Army�s National Disaster Training Program consists of introductory, intermediate, and advanced level classes. This training course is part of the full curriculum that was developed through a grant from the Lilly Endowment. The training courses were developed under the supervision of The Salvation Army with expertise from a variety of volunteer, government, and faith-based organizations. Disaster Food Service: Handling and Delivery is part of The Salvation Army�s National Disaster Training Program. It was developed for all Salvation Army staff and volunteers to prepare them to work efficiently and effectively in food services. The purpose of this course is to provide participants with an overview of The Salvation Army�s disaster food service program. Participants will learn the essentials of safe and sanitary food preparation and service.
Participants will also learn the fundamentals of operating a Salvation Army mobile kitchen or �canteen.�
