AOK Division Deploys Teams to Tornado Damaged Areas

Oklahoma City, OK–The Arkansas-Oklahoma Division is responding to multiple locations due to tornado damage.

Oklahoma Emergency Management has sent several personnel, Urban Search and Rescue, and EMS strike teams to the Joplin area.   One of our mobile feeding units is also being deployed to the area.   Captain Warren Jones, Sapulpa Commanding Officer, and one volunteer from Tulsa are en route with the Tulsa mobile feeding unit.  They will be reporting to the Joplin Salvation Army for further orders.

Major Alan Phillips, Bartlesville, Oklahoma Commanding Officer, has been requested by the Grove Emergency Operations Center to respond to the Grove, Oklahoma area.  The Bartlesville mobile feeding unit and crew will be deploying first thing Monday morning.

Sergeant Rob Daniels, Stillwater, Oklahoma Commanding Officer, will be deploying a mobile feeding unit and crew to Ketchum, Oklahoma on Monday morning where tornado damage is also reported.   All efforts are being coordinated closely with emergency management.
