Yesterday, an intense low-pressure system tracked across the Central United States and brought an outbreak of severe weather in the Midwest. Several supercells developed in an unstable environment, producing multiple tornadoes across Iowa, Missouri, and Illinois. As the evening progressed, many of these cells merged into a line of storms producing damaging winds and multiple embedded tornadoes across Illinois and Indiana.
As a result, The Salvation Army Central Territory Emergency Disaster Service (EDS) units are now on the ground in the hardest hit areas including Sherman, Illinois, and Sullivan, Indiana. Please donate to the relief efforts: www.salarmy.us/midwest-storms
