Douglas, GA (October 2, 2024) – The Salvation Army Douglas operation is currently feeding survivors at eight locations in seven counties. Lunch and dinner will be provided. Meals include shelf stable lunch boxes and hot meals (denoted by location below). To date, the local operation has provided nearly 10,000 meals and 4,000 snacks to survivors of Hurricane Helene. The Salvation Army is committed to serving Douglas and the surrounding communities. Feeding will continue; however, locations are subject to change. In addition to food and hydration services, Emotional and Spiritual Care personnel are traveling from site to site, offering a listening ear or comforting shoulder for those in need.
