Council Bluffs (IA) Corps Expands Flood-Relief Efforts in Southwest Iowa with New Feeding Operation and Outreach Effort
SALVATION ARMY COUNCIL BLUFFS CORPS EXPANDS FLOOD-RELIEF EFFORTS IN SOUTHWEST IOWA WITH NEW FEEDING OPERATION AND OUTREACH EFFORT
The Salvation Army Council Bluffs Corps continues working its flood-relief efforts in southwest Iowa seven days a week—and is branching into new endeavors as it goes.
On Wednesday evenings starting May 8, the Corps plans to expand its work in Fremont County with a new outreach effort. This effort will involve providing emotional-spiritual counseling (ESC) to flood survivors living in mobile housing at Waubonsie State Park near Sidney, Iowa.
Plus: As of the weekend of April 27-28, the Corps began a new food-service operation in Pacific Junction, Iowa, alongside its ongoing food-service operation in Hamburg, Iowa. The Hamburg operation will continue daily until further notice, and the Pacific Junction operation will continue on weekends until further notice. Food-service operations are being conducted in support of local residents’ flood-recovery work.
