Houston, Texas (September 12, 2017) – The Salvation Army Incident Management Team (IMT) began its third week coordinating recovery efforts in Greater Houston. In the days ahead, warehouses will be stocked and distribution centers identified to allow for the efficient delivery of needed supplies and support to Greater Houston families impacted by Hurricane Harvey.
Workers from across the United States and Canada continue to serve in Houston supporting efforts in the affected area. Twenty (20) mobile kitchens and response teams, with an average individual capacity to each serve 1,000 meals per day, continue to provide hot meals, snacks, and hydration to Hurricane Harvey survivors, in addition to clean-up kits and other supplies.
