The Salvation Army Responds to 3 Alarm Fire in Buffalo, NY

Buffalo, NY - The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services Team based in Buffalo, NY responded to a three alarm residential fire incident impacting three homes on Jewett Avenue in the City on Friday morning. The team provided canteen and hydration services to approximately 60 firefighters who were involved in fighting this large fire that started in one residence and spread to two adjacent homes.  The Salvation Army along with members of the American Red Cross Greater Buffalo Chapter Disaster team are working to assist those displaced with finding temporary housing as well as offering emotional and spiritual care.

Schwartz, Divisional Disaster Director for the Empire State Division of The Salvation Army.
