Coffee & Prayers Continue To Warm Body & Heart

Mobile, AL (March 1, 2012) - The Salvation Army Coastal Alabama Area Command continues to provide nourishment for the body and soul of the first responders to United States Coast Guard search and rescue effort.

In addition to providing food, water and coffee to the Sheriff’s Flotilla at the Fowl River Marina, Lt. Alan Grimes, will be providing Emotional and Spiritual Care to these heroic men and women who are searching for the Coast Guard personnel who are still missing.

“It is a rewarding and heroic action our first responders are taking by putting themselves on the line as they search for their missing comrades”, says Lt. Grimes.  “I have served during many disasters, most recently the Alabama Tornadoes.  All of these responders need to take care of their emotional health, while our canteen serves nourishment for the body. We are here to provide solace for the soul.”

The Salvation Army Coastal Alabama Area Command will be on the ground as long as needed.
