Owensboro Salvation Army Rallies The Troops To Serve Neighbors Displaced By Flooding

Owensboro, KY - May 16, 2011 – The Salvation Army of Owensboro, KY provided 100 meals to individuals who were displaced due to flooding living in area shelters over the weekend.  Today, back at their command, they have already handed out 10 clean up kits and are prepared to hand out an additional 90.  When the Emergency Management Office of Owensboro called Salvation Army Bookkeeper, Kathie Orlowski asking for help she responded, “We will ‘Do the Most Good’ by providing cleaning supplies and food as necessary.  We will work around the clock if needed to get these clean up kits together.”  That is exactly what they did.

If you are in need of a clean up kit you can visit The Salvation Army of Owensboro, KY.  Please bring an identification and proof of address.  They will compare this with the list provided by FEMA.
