Fort Worth, TX (April 2, 2012) - Albertson’s LLC is collecting donations through its in-store fundraising program across all of its stores in support of The Salvation Army’s disaster relief efforts following the devastating tornadoes in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The campaign features boards stocked with $1, $3 and $5 donation coupons at each check stand of their stores in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, New Mexico and Texas.  Customers donate simply by selecting a coupon in the desired denomination and handing it to the cashier to be scanned as they are paying for their order.  The donation amount appears on the final bill and is tax-deductible.

“Albertsons stores and our customers have traditionally stepped up to support the efforts of The Salvation Army during times of national crisis,” said Wayne Denningham, president, Southern division of Albertsons LLC. “The impact of the devastating tornadoes in the DFW Metroplex will present recovery challenges for many weeks to come. Our in-store fundraising campaign gives us the opportunity to respond quickly to support the efforts of great organizations like The Salvation Army as emergencies arise.”

The stores will collect funds through April 27th.
