Salvation Army of Miami-Dade County Responds to Tragic Surfside Building Collapse

Surfside, FL (June 24, 2021)- The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services (“EDS”) staff are responding to a residential building collapse in Surfside, FL, north of Miami Beach.

Miami-Dade EDS has deployed a rapid response vehicle to provide beverages, meals, and blankets to the families of those missing and first responders. EDS staff will also be available to provide Emotional and Spiritual support if requested.

This is an active and ongoing situation, and the response to this emergency is expected to span multiple days. Miami EDS staff are prepared to be onsite and deploy additional personnel and resources as requested until the situation is resolved.
