The Jackson MS Salvation Army Answers Call for Clean Water

Jackson, MS (January 30, 2015) – The Salvation Army of Jackson Mississippi responded to a call for emergency assistance from The City of Jackson.
After a water main break left a neighborhood in the city without access to clean water, The Jackson Salvation Army was able to supply the city a pallet of bottled water. According to a city official, a number of residences and several retirement facilities were affected. He went on to say that the water will be distributed to anyone in need within the communities.
While the time-line of repairing the broken water main is still unclear, The Salvation Army Administrator in the area, Capt. Ken Chapman added, “We exist to serve the community, and anytime help is needed, The Salvation Army will be there, ready to provide a bottle of water in Jesus’ name."
