Huntsville, AL (May 13, 2011) – Award winning singers/songwriters - including Jim Parker, Wood Newton, Donny Lowry and Mark Narmore - will be performing the “Rodan + Fields Songs for Survivors” concert on Saturday, May 21, 2011 from 7:00-11:00 pm to benefit the survivors of the recent deadly Southeast tornadoes. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to the Salvation Army’s Disaster Relief Fund and be specially earmarked for April 27 tornado victims.

“Soon after the tornadoes, we learned that a number of our local Consultants and their families were affected by the disaster,” said Dr. Katie Rodan. “Because our business is about creating opportunities to change lives, we were delighted when some of our local Consultants suggested a benefit concert to help their community.”

The concert, which will be emceed by veteran radio personality John Malone, will take place at the new Davidson Center for Exploration at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville. In addition to the musical performances, the evening will include a Southern barbeque dinner and a live auction to raise additional money for the relief fund.

“We are moved that all the artists involved have joined together with our local team in record time, to give back to this community that is so important to the Rodan + Fields family,” continued Dr. Kathy Fields.

“The devastation recently unleashed by the tornadoes in the Southeast has been overwhelming to many area communities,” declared Major Mark Satterlee of the Salvation Army in Huntsville, Alabama. “We are moved by the generosity of the Rodan + Fields team in so quickly organizing the Songs for Survivorsconcert. Their generous financial contribution will directly help the many local survivors. Together we can truly make a difference.”
