Ogdensburg EDS Team Participates in Airport FAA Disaster Exercise

Ogdensburg, NY - The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services Team based in Ogdensburg, New York participated in a FAA required Airport Disaster Exercise at the Ogdensburg International Airport Thursday morning. The teams provided canteen and hydration services to over 50 first responders from Federal, State and Local emergency management, fire and law enforcement agencies from across the North Country.  The Salvation Army operated in both the exercise as well as in providing drinks and snacks to the exercise participants.

“We are grateful to our Ogdensburg Team for their continued service to the people of St. Lawrence County.   Their selfless dedication to their community and continued learning by participating in today's exercise are inspirational to all of the members of our EDS Team across the Empire State Division.” said Michael R. Schwartz, Divisional Disaster Director for the Empire State Division of The Salvation Army.
