The Salvation Army Responds to Oregon Wildfires - Update #1

OREGON (September 9, 2020) - The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services has been activated in Ashland, Phoenix, Talent, Medford, Linn County, Roseburg, and Lincoln County to respond to the Oregon Wildfires.

  • JACKSON COUNTY (Ashland, Phoenix, Medford, and Talent): 

    • The Salvation Army HOPE House transitional shelter program site in Medford is now operating as an Evacuee Shelter while still housing program participants. Currently, housing 22 evacuees and have the capacity for 50 evacuees. Meals are being provided for evacuees at the shelter. If you need assistance, please call 541-773-6965 x101.

    • We are providing food boxes and clothing vouchers to evacuees.

    • Thrift Store is closed today (9/9). The Thrift Store will open tomorrow (9/10) for evacuees to redeem clothing vouchers. 
       

  • LINN COUNTY: Serving meals to evacuees at the Linn Benton Fairgrounds. Sign up to volunteer: http://salarmy.us/albany-fire-volunteer

  • ROSEBURG: Serving meals to evacuees at the Douglas County Fairgrounds (2110 Frear St, Roseburg, OR 97471). For additional services call 541-672-6581.If you would like to volunteer, please call 503-313-3438.

  • LINCOLN COUNTY: Serving dinner at South Beach Church (3335 S Coast Hwy, South Beach, OR 97366) Wednesday (9/9) Thursday (9/10), and Friday (9/11) at 5:00 PM.

Monetary donations allow disaster responders to immediately meet the specific needs of the disaster. 100% of your donation stays in Oregon to respond directly to the needs of those impacted by the Oregon Wildfires. There are a variety of ways the public can support The Salvation Army’s disaster relief efforts.
